I don’t have a newspaper clipping about it but it is my understanding that my father rode a white horse into a bar and it took about two minutes to destroy the whole place. Illinois, also. It would seem that we have some parallels–our fathers were not typical. To say the least. Some small part of me always liked the white horse story–even though I don’t think I was supposed to admire it at all…..I did.
